Most golfers believe that advances made with golf clubs have been made considerable faster than the relatively slow progress that has been made with golf ball design, and construction.

However, nothing could be further from the truth. An enormous amount of money has been spent over the years to improve the design of the golf ball. There are a number of different factors that golfers should take into considered when choosing a golf ball, such as ball construction, spin, and feel.

Golf balls are constructed in pieces, every golf ball that is put together will be made up of one to three pieces. The two piece ball is made up of a hard plastic sphere, and a cover that has been designed to allow the ball to travel a farther distance. It is a lot harder than a one piece ball and is not so easy to control, but it is the ball that is preferred by most golfers.

Finally, the three piece golf ball. This ball has a solid rubber or liquid core, and this feature allows for more spin to be imparted on the ball when it is struck by the club. These softer balls that can be controlled by more experienced players. The construction of this ball allows for a very high spin rate, which is preferred by good amateur and professional players.

It doesn't matter what level of skill your at with your golf game, before you make a decision concerning anyone ball you should test a wide range of different types of golf balls to determine which one is best for you. This can be done on any practice range, although it is best to make a decision by playing a full round golf with the ball, this all aspects of the game are used to give the ball a good test.
